Silattuqsarvik is the word Inuit use for "College". It means "the place to aquire wisdom". In Inuit tradition, a wise person was someone who had spent a lifetime experiencing the Land, learning how to thrive in the world's harshest environment. Our biggest challenge at Nunavut Arctic College is to preserve this ancient wisdom, while preparing students for new opportunities in the changing North and beyond.
